Miss Shirley- Preschool Teacher/After School Care Program Leader
Miss Shirley is an Early Childhood Educator who graduated from Pacific Rim Early Childhood Institute as well as from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelors in General Studies. Miss Shirley has worked with children ages 0-12 in community centres, childcare centres, preschools and out of school care programs. She is passionate about working with children and helping them grow and develop to their full potential. Miss Shirley has worked in the Preschool Program at Little Maples in the past and is looking forward to building new relationships with the children and families in both of our programs. She is very excited to be joining the Little Maples team again!
Miss Shannon-Director of Little Maples/Preschool Teacher
Miss Shannon graduated from Langara College as an Early Childhood Educator as well as from Kwantlen College with an Associate of Arts degree. She spent five years teaching and supervising in a fine arts preschool program in Steveston, B.C. and the last six years as the Director and Supervising Preschool Teacher at Little Maples. Miss Shannon loves teaching children and is so excited for this opportunity to showcase the unique and creative program Little Maples has to offer.
Miss Arlene-Preschool Teacher/Creative Movement Teacher
Miss Arlene is a popular and well-known local creative movement and music teacher. She has over ten years of experience teaching her amazing creative movement classes that engage our Preschoolers imaginations and gets them moving! She has been a member of our Preschool teaching team for the past six years. She is loved by children and families and is a highlight of our program. Miss Arlene has the ability to make all children feel special and most importantly to have fun! A longtime resident of Finn Slough, she brings her artistic background, beautiful singing voice and easygoing nature to her classes.

Miss Ilana - Assistant After School Care Program Leader
Miss Ilana is currently studying at Douglas College, and is working towards attaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. She has been working with kids for the past ten years; from leading summer day-camps to running birthday parties, she has loved getting to know kids from all over the Lower Mainland, and enjoys providing them with opportunities to explore, learn, and grow. Ilana’s passions include art, reading, and active play, and hopes to share these passions with the kids at Maple Lane. Ilana is very excited to be a part of the Little Maples community!
Miss Aranda- Substitute Preschool Teacher
Miss Aranda is a graduate of the Pacific Rim Early Childhood institute where she obtained her Early Childhood Educator's Assistant's License to Practice. Miss Aranda has two young children of her own, Jacob and Lila who both attended Little Maples. She is creative, energetic, fun! and always get's our Preschoolers moving and excited to participate in classroom activities. She has been a valuable member of our Preschool teaching team for the past three years.
